I have other cats to whip
An update on the number of people who have left Paris for the countryside during our lockdown. Not 50,0000 but 189 000 people or 11% à 12% of the population.
I see in the news that Ontario is trying to get cottagers to stay home.
I'm making us masks. The first one is Sue approved. I have no machine so it takes me a few days to make one. I've started on for EM with a simplifed pattern.
Wow! a whole bunch of french expressions to learn, like I have other cats to whip:

EM is still working from home. His employees all but one he kept on are on unemployement. They are receiving full pay with a combination of money from the company and the French governement.
In my case, there have been many variations of what farriers should and should not be doing (I'm not a farrier by the way). In the beginning we could not except with a perscription from a vet, but yesterday there was a publication saying that farriers should be tending to horses as usual as it was part of their well being. However, they must follow distancing and barrier rules with clients. I'm reaching out to clients in my agenda where I'd cancelled appointments to say I'll come next week. From there, I'm going back to my normal schedule until things change again. I need to take correct paperwork to go out each time. I trimmed a horse yesterday afternoon with my mask. It's not easy to work with a mask. Too hot! I don't know how nurses and Drs do it.
Regardless of what is happening in the human world, spring is continuing its course. The cherry tree is now blooming with wondefully perfumed blossoms. The plum tree has finished and the apple tree is getting ready. My onions are coming up, some salads and all my perenial plants like wild garlic, comfrey, rhubarb and strawberries.
We love cooking. I can't say we are suffering foodwise. EM made coconut ice cream with carmelized apples the other day. Usually it's made with pineapple not apples, but hey.
Thanks goodness we exercice! This is Catherine keeping an eye on EM doing his Jillian Michael's.
