Chlorox Wipe, adapting and life goes on @chromeo #socialdistancing #lifegoeson

I went to town to do some grocery shopping yesterday and about half of the people were wearing masks (me included).  Cafés and bars are still closed.   It seems masks have become a sign of political ideas instead of something to protect others.  I just don't understand how selfish  people are.  Individual rights are important, but the lives of others are too.

Small stores like the butcher, seafood and the wine store were open.  Most of the employees wear masks, some have built barriers between them and the clients.  One store give you tiny wooden battons to use to tap your credit card number into their machine.  Everyone must line up outside.  Only 1 or 2 clients are allowed in at a time.  In the pharmacy, lines indicated where clients must stand while waiting to be served.  Our favorite wine store has changed the configuration of his store to permit better circulation of clients to permet social distancing.

I have a client whose mum has a B&B and a few spots for camping.  I asked her if she was full for this weekend as it's the first weekend where we can travel 100kms from our homes without an authorisation.  She told me the campground was booked for weeks ahead.  Her B&B not so much.  People are looking for social distancing even in their escapes.

Social distancing at an outdoor café in Germany.

The Cafe Rothe recently reopened after Germany lifted coronavirus lockdown measures.

My husband went into the office last week.  His company is all open space except for certain managers.  The company had organised a reception area where hands were sanitized and masks given out and explained (they must be handled properly).  Routes were marked clearly so people stay distanced when moving around the building.  Hours were stagered and the number of people allowed in restricted.  Apparently, there were very few people there.  At lunch in the cafeteria, seating was staggered, lunches were packaged, and masks were changed for new ones.

At our house, we can't use cleaners like Chlorox as we have a septic system.  I'm rather glad as the fumes are not healthy and the products either for the germs or us.  It's good to see people making light of the situation like Chromeo with their lockdown songs.
